Myself and close friend Bryan Gavigan are going to be shooting a documentary and photo story on the construction workers of Dubai (where we both grew up) whilst we’re out there in July. We’re still in the research phase but its cool to put this kind of thing out there now so y’all (and myself!) can keep in touch with where the project is going.
After a bit of digging I found this project by Ghaith Abdul-Ahad, who shot something in a similar vein in 2008. Totally sick work, check it out over on the Guardian website, or click the picture to take you to the story.

Pig House Pictures

Pig House Pictures is our new photographic collective (for lack of a less cringey term), based here in Falmouth. Totally self initiated and detached from the degree, we’ve just released our first online publication, featuring work from the first year of the Press & Editorial Photography course.

I’ll admit, 198 pages is intense but I’ve just been reading through everybody else’s stories and found that I couldn’t stop reading. It’s incredible and I’m fucking proud of everybody in the Press Gang today. Check out the publication here - my work is somewhere around page 88.

Our exhibition starts tomorrow at The Poly in Falmouth at 7:00 and carries on until the 14th. Not all the pictures in the exhibition are in the publication so its well worth coming along to, even if galleries aren’t your thing. We’ve just spent the day hanging the work and it looks great.

You could also check out our blog or twitter to keep updated; the publication will be a termly thing, the next will be out in September/October time.
